In this standard, for the protection of electrical equipment enclosures against foreign objects, the format of the IP rating is IPXY, where XY is two Arabic numerals, the first marking number X indicates the level of protection against contact and foreign objects, and the second marking number Y indicates waterproofing. Protection level.
